What is a baby platypus called?

A baby platypus is called a "puggle." Puggles are born after a gestation period of about 10 days and are tiny, blind, and hairless when they hatch from their eggs. They are cared for by their mother until they are able to fend for themselves, which usually takes about 4-5 months. Puggles are very vulnerable in their early stages of life and rely heavily on their mother for protection and nourishment. Once they are older and more independent, they will begin to explore their surroundings and learn essential skills for survival.
